Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026

This policy explains how Zajil, operated by iTrobes Technologies (“we”, “us”), handles personal information. Zajil is a booking platform: independent salons, spas and clinics (“businesses”) use it to run their appointments, and guests use it to find and book them.

Two different relationships matter here. When you book a treatment, the business you booked with decides what to record about you and why — we hold that information on their behalf. When a business signs up to use Zajil, we decide what to record about them. The sections below say which is which.

Information we hold for a business about its guests

A business using Zajil can record, about the people it serves:

  • name, email address, phone number and date of birth;
  • a postal address, where the business collects one — for example for a home visit;
  • appointment history: treatments booked, branch, date and time, the team member seen, and what was paid;
  • notes the business writes, which may include allergies and medical notes relevant to a treatment;
  • whether the guest has agreed to receive marketing by email or SMS.

Allergy and medical notes are health information. They are visible to that business’s own staff according to the permissions it grants them, and to nobody else. A therapist, for example, is not shown what a treatment cost.

Information we hold about guests using the marketplace

  • the account details you give us: name, email address and phone number;
  • your bookings, and any review you choose to leave;
  • a device push identifier, if you allow notifications, so we can send booking confirmations and reminders. You can turn these off in your device settings at any time.

Information we hold about businesses

  • business and branch details, including trading name, address and opening hours;
  • staff accounts, their roles and the permissions granted to them;
  • the subscription plan the business is on, and billing identifiers held by our payment provider.

Payment information

We do not store card numbers. Where card payment is offered it is handled by a certified payment provider, and card details do not reach our servers. We keep only the provider’s reference for a transaction, so a business can reconcile its takings and issue refunds.

Analytics and tracking

A business can connect Google Analytics or a Meta Pixel to its own booking page. When it does, those scripts load on that business’s pages and the provider receives the usual browsing information they collect. When a business has not connected them, no such script is loaded. Zajil itself does not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share information with

  • The business you booked with, which needs your booking to provide the treatment.
  • Service providers we use to run the platform: hosting, our payment provider, and the email and SMS providers that deliver confirmations and reminders. They act on our instructions.
  • Where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people using the service.

One business on Zajil cannot see another business’s guests, bookings or takings.

Your choices

You can turn off marketing email and SMS at any time, and turn off push notifications in your device settings. If you want a copy of what we hold about you, or want it corrected or deleted, contact the business you booked with — it is their record — or contact us and we will help. If you ask us to delete something we are required to keep, such as a record needed for tax or accounting, we will tell you what we have kept and why.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Zajil after a change means the updated policy applies to you.
